What is it?
A celebration of equality and participation, Doing Things Differently promises to be a circus and theatre extravaganza which encourages audiences not to just watch, but to get involved.
At the centre of the event is Weighting, a spectacular high rig performance by integrated circus company Extraordinary Bodies. The performance will be backed by a five-piece band, and a 200 strong community choir with BSL interpretation, audio description and touch tours. Anyone and everyone is welcome to get involved with the choir, regardless of singing ability. Weighting takes place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September in Castle Park, admission is free.
Other highlights include Meet Fred at Circomedia on Thursday 15th September. Fred is a two foot tall puppet who just wants to meet a girl and settle down; but whose plans are turned upside down by the threat of losing his puppetry living allowance.
