A map of Scotland, made out of cake, at Cake Fest

By Caroline King - September 7, 2016Posted in : Festival, Food & Drink

When: 11th September 2016

Where: Cowane’s Hospital (next to Stirling Castle), Stirling, Scotland FK8 1ED

£: Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children

What is it?

Cake Fest will be taking place in Scotland on Sunday 11th September, as part of the Festival of Architecture 2016.

Cake Fest is aiming to make a 100 square metre edible map of Scotland, complete with 100 of Scotland’s greatest buildings, made out of cake.

Teams of amateur and professional bakers from across the country have been busy constructing the buildings for the map.  On the day, members of the public will be able to help complete the map, adding little details such as cars, boats and buses.

And most importantly, once the map has been created, and everyone has had a chance to look at it, it will be eaten!

Other entertainment during the festival day will include street theatre from the Cake Ladies and Tea Club, food tours, live music, and a series of cake making workshops.
