What is it?

Step back in time to the 1800s with the Victorian Festival in Llandrindod Wells, from Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th August.

The festival has an eclectic programme of events including dances, talks, music, competitions and parades.  The more quirky events include a best dressed Victorian hat competition, a bicycle parade, a servant’s ball, a street organ festival, and a young town crier competition.

The Victorian Festival kicks off on the Monday with a children’s festival party, and a British Raj themed buffet and ball.  The highlights for the rest of the week include a bicycle parade and servant’s ball on Wednesday 24th, and a young town crier competition on Thursday 25th.  On Friday 26th an international street organ festival, a best dressed Victorian hat competition, and a grand Victorian ball will take place.

Events on the Saturday and Sunday will include a Victorian cake-off, a suffragette demonstration, and a torchlit procession and firework display.
