What is it?
The National Gallery are celebrating how the paintings in their collection inspire artists, musicians, writers, and poets, with their Inspiration Late on Friday 22nd July.
The event coincides with the gallery’s current exhibitions, Painters’ Paintings and George Shaw: My Back to Nature. The Painters’ Paintings exhibition runs until 4th September, and the George Shaw exhibition until 30th October.
Visitors can also take part in improvisation workshops with Loud Poets, have a Renaissance themed makeover with London Drawing, and improve their drawing skills in an artist led session.
Themed food and drink will be available at pop up cocktail and wine bars around the gallery. There will also be a pop up photo booth to allow guests to capture a moment from the evening.
