Brave a spooky sleepover at Leicester’s oldest theatre on Friday 13th

By Caroline King - May 3, 2016Posted in : Theatre

Spooky Sleep In - Y Theatre - Leicester

Are you brave enough for the Spooky Sleep In?

When: 13th May 2016, from 7.30pm until 9am the following morning

Where: The Y, 7 East Street, Leicester LE1 6EY

£: Tickets cost £35 (includes dinner and breakfast).  Groups can buy 4 tickets and get the 5th ticket free.

What is it?

Feeling brave?  Then why not head to The Y theatre in Leicester on Friday 13th May for their Spooky Sleep In fundraiser?

The Y is Leicester’s oldest surviving theatre and guests for the evening will be able to participate in a tour of the deepest, darkest recesses of the venue.  The Y building is over 100 years old and wasn’t always used as a theatre. As tales of a bygone era echo around the theatre, visitors can submerge themselves in what once was.  Afterwards a slew of on-screen horror will add to the evening’s atmosphere as visitors try to get to sleep in the dark, open, theatre space.

The brave participants should bring something comfortable to wear, a sleeping bag and a torch, ready for this evening of tours and tales at the theatre.  Each person who takes on the challenge of sleeping in the theatre is helping to raise money for The Y to continue to provide support and education for homeless young people in Leicester and Leicestershire.

The Spooky Sleep In is suitable for those over 14 years of age.
