What is it?
Take a 7.5 mile walk in north London with Footprints of London guide, Jen Pedler on Sunday 29th May. The Moselle Mosey walk will follow the course of Haringey’s hidden River Moselle, from its source in Queen’s Wood Highgate, to its confluence with the River Lea.
Participants on the walk will get to take in the woods, parks, and historic cemetery as they follow the river. There will also be three contrasting social housing developments, part of Tottenham on the verge of regeneration, and two stretches of the river that flow above ground to discover.
There will be a break for lunch in Lordship Rec, participants can either bring their own lunch or have a bite to eat in the park’s Hub Cafe. The walk will finish at around 4pm, at Markfield Park in Tottenham.
Anyone wishing to go on the walk should wear suitable footwear and aim to meet in Queen’s Wood Cafe, near Highgate Tube Station, by 9.45am.
