When: 30th April – 2nd May 2016 (bank holiday weekend)
Where: Llandudno, Wales
What is it?
This year’s Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza will take place from Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May 2016. The three-day event will feature a parade of Victorian costumed folk, live music, entertainers, sideshows and vintage vehicles.
The annual free family event has been taking place in the seaside town on the May Day bank holiday since 1986. This year’s event will feature a daily costumed parade at 1pm, which people are encouraged to dress up and join in with. The parade usually attracts a myriad of Victorian-themed characters, entertainers, bands, dancers and vintage vehicles. There will be prizes awarded each day for the best attired participants.
At this year’s extravaganza there will be a traditional helter skelter, street entertainment from Mario Morris Magic, and Conwy County Wrestling. There will also be a live music from acts including False Alibi, Woteva Ukulele, and the Llandudno Town Band, on the community stage. Other entertainment on the stage will include belly dancing and cookery demonstrations.
Kevin Grunill will once again be playing a traditional theatre organ on the Showtime Stage at the promenade. For the younger visitors, on 30th April, there will be Alice in Wonderland activities at MOSTYN on Vaughan Street. Activities will include a Cheshire Cat Party and a colouring competition.
