What is it?
The Super Bowl 50 kicks off on Friday 5th February. To celebrate, Chelsea’s mountain cabin and dance saloon, Beaver Lodge, is partnering with their friends from across the pond, Samuel Adams, to host an all-American warm up-weekend.
The pre-Bowl bash begins on Friday night with Buddy the Beaver’s Hot Dog Eating Competition. Ten competitors will be invited to battle it out to see who will be crowned champion by eating as many hot dogs as possible in ten minutes. The champion will receive £300 cash and an honorary Beaver Lodge membership card.
American football fans can look forward to even more Super Bowl madness on Saturday night at the Lodge with the Super Bowl’s greatest hits playing all evening long. Guests can enjoy Samuel Adams Beer Towers at all the booths, and chow down on hot dogs, nachos and wings.
Cheerleaders will perform to pump up the crowd, as an American-style marching band gives a tip-top performance. As the night descends, a live DJ will be spinning the best of Americana, rock ‘n’ roll and electronica whilst party-goers dance the night away.
Beaver Lodge is part of the Inception Group, founded by Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling. The Inception Group also operate Chelsea speakeasy, Barts, ‘80s themed nightclub, Maggie’s, Mr Fogg’s, a Mayfair bar modelled on the actual home of Jules Verne’s most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg, and Cahoots, a late night bar that transports guests back in time to an abandoned 40’s themed underground tube station.
