What is it?
The World Custard Pie Championship, inspired by Charlie Chaplin, has been held annually in Kent since 1967. This year’s championship takes place in the village of Coxheath on Saturday 6th June.
The aim of the contest is for teams of four to throw pies at their opponents. Points are awarded for various throws, including hitting opponents in the face, and using original and amusing throwing techniques. The winning team receives the ‘World Custard Pie Trophy’.
