Conwy Town will be invaded for the fourth year in a row by pirates, buccaneers and salty sea dogs over the weekend of June 20th and 21st 2015 for Conwy Pirate Weekend.
The weekend begins on the Saturday at 10am with the official opening of Captain Jackdaw’s Stage. The entertainment at the stage continues until the late evening with Captain Gatling Magic Show, the Pyrate Circus, sea shanties from Port Sunlight Sea Dogs, a Pirate Flag Parade and an outdoor cinema screening. At the Quayside there will be a cannon fire demonstration with the Hearts of Oak and a Knight Shop Barrel Carrying Race.
On the Sunday there will be more entertainment at the Quayside and on Captain Jackdaw’s Stage with sea shanties, magic, cannon fire and competitions. Both days will feature a Pirate Camp, and a pirate school where trainees can learn the Cutlass Drill. The King’s Executioner will also be telling tales of crime and punishment, with props and pirate boarding weapons.
This year will once again feature a Secret Pirate Party (ticket only) on Friday 19th June. The event will be fancy dress, with entertainment and rum for the guests to enjoy.
