What is it?
On Sunday 17th May the quirky LostFest will take place in Cornwall, with an eclectic mix of music, dance, demonstrations and activities.
Entertainment will kick off at around 10.30am and carry on into the evening. Performances throughout the day will include community choir, Lost in Song, didgeridoo player John Thorpe, and traditional Cornish music from The Hornets.
This year’s festival will feature plenty of stalls, full of arts, crafts, gifts and food. There will also be a Vintage Fair from 10am in the Community Centre.
For visitors who like their history, LostFest will also have medieval battle re-enactments courtesy of Kernow Levy, who will be setting up camp in St Bartholomew’s churchyard. The Renaissance Historical Dance Society will also be performing 15th, 16th, 17th and 19th century court and country dances. Furthermore, visitors can also explore the town’s museum and delve into Lostwithiel’s past.
For the children there will be plenty to do, including forest school sessions, face painting, balloon sculpture, and an inflatable assault course.
Finally, rounding off LostFest from 5pm, there will be music from The Abee Hague Band and 3 Daft Monkeys.
