What is it?
Join The Geffrye Museum for their Farewell to Christmas event. There will be the traditional burning of the holly and the ivy, as well as carol singing and stories about Epiphany. Guests can enjoy a taste of mulled wine and Twelfth Night cake.
Please note that this event takes place in the garden, so wrap up warm!
Set in elegant 18th century buildings surrounded by gardens in Shoreditch, East London, The Geffrye explores the home from 1600 to the present day, focusing on the living rooms of the urban middle classes in England, particularly London. A series of period rooms and gardens show how such homes have been used and furnished over time, reflecting changes in society and patterns of behaviour, as well as style, fashion and taste.
