What is it?
Take part in a fun festive 5km run with a difference this December. Chase the Pudding takes place on Weymouth beach on Sunday 21st December.
The event will see competitors dressed in Santa outfits chase a Christmas pudding along the beach. Families, friends and work colleagues are being encouraged to get together and join in the crazy Christmas event in the name of charity. The winner will win a cash prize and the event is aiming to raise as much money as possible for The Will Mackaness Trust.
The Will Mackaness Trust was set up 6 years ago at the Wey Valley School by the Head, Phil Thomas and the head of upper school, Clive Burgess following Will’s death. The trust’s aim is to give more water sport opportunities to the youngsters of Weymouth and Portland. All race entrants should aim to raise sponsorship money for the trust.
Spectators are welcome to watch the race and there will be mulled wine, minced pies, Christmas stalls and a raffle on the day.
