A spectacular evening of light, fire and ice at Luminaries Woburnensis

Woburn Luminaries - Woburn Abbey When: 29th November 2014, 5pm – 10pm (last entry 9pm)

Where: Woburn Abbey Gardens, near Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire

£: Tickets cost £10 for adults, £8.50 for seniors and £4 for children (3-15 years). Children under 3 years go free. Decorate your own hanging lantern for an additional charge of £3 per lantern.

What is it?

Wrap up warm, bring a torch and experience the gardens at Woburn Abbey aglow with the light of the luminaria lanterns.   Luminaries Woburnensis takes place on Saturday 29th November 2014.  This family friendly event will feature ethereal sculptures, an animated fire sculpture and award-winning ice sculptors creating works of art.

There will be boutique stalls selling unique and interesting gifts, including jewellery, ladies wear, candles, wooden items, skin care and garden products.  Food stalls will offer warming noodles, Bratwurst German sausages, gourmet burgers, and mulled wine.

Event highlights include:

Woburn Luminaries - Woburn Abbey A trail through the Abbey Gardens, which takes visitors through the Hornbeam maze and the Sculpture Gallery’s private gardens.
Award-winning ice sculptors Glacial Art, commissioned especially for the evening by her Grace the Duchess of Bedford, will be creating oriental ice sculptures.
An interactive ice wall for visitors to have a go on.
The chance to launch a lotus flower lantern, decorate hanging lanterns and hang a message on the shimmering Tree of Dreams.
Theatrical themed performances at 6pm and 8pm and lighting of fire sculptures at 7pm and 9pm.
Live music from the Woburn Sands Band.
