What is it?
Taking place as part of the grand finale of Chocolate Week (13th – 19th October), The Chocolate Show will host incredible chocolate companies, demonstrations, tastings, truffle rolling, and even couture outfits made entirely of chocolate. The Chocolate Show will take place at Olympia West in London from 17th to 19th October 2014.
In The Chocolate Theatre, the stars of the show will include Michelin-starred Atul Kochhar, Great British Bake Off champions Edd Kimber and John Whaite, and chocolatiers Paul A Young and Will Torrent. These stars will showcase the diversity of chocolate in a series of live demonstrations.
The show will also be putting the spotlight on pastry chefs, with former Fat Duck pastry chef Hideko Kawa and pastry chefs from the 5-star The Berkeley Hotel and Café Royal Hotel taking to the stage. One of the most exciting patisserie talents of his generation, France’s 23-year old Guillaume Sanchez will also be joining the show for his first ever appearance in the UK.
Other highlights include surprises from the theatre production of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and the opportunity for visitors to get their hands chocolatey in the L’Atelier des Chefs chocolate workshops.
Visitors to The Chocolate Show can also see couture outfits designed by chocolatiers and fashion designers, made entirely out of chocolate in the world-famous Chocolate Fashion Show, live every day at 5pm. There will also be an array of different chocolates to enjoy in the tasting theatre. For children there’s plenty to do in The Chocolate Club, where York Cocoa House will host chocolate lollipop making, flavoured chocolate bar creating, and chocolate painting.
