Tough Mudder

Teamwork and camaraderie is important in Tough Mudder events!

When: 13th & 14th September 2014

Where: Cholmondeley Estate, Cholmondeley, Malpas, Cheshire SY14 8HA

£: Costs £120 – £140 to enter (includes t-shirt, headband and a beer).  It costs £10 in advance for a spectator ticket and £20 on the day (children under 10 years go free).

What is it?

This weekend the North West Tough Mudder takes place on the Cholmondeley Estate in Cheshire.  Tough Mudder creates an obstacle course like no other with around 10 miles of boggy course littered with challenges to test strength, stamina, teamwork, and mental grit.

The North West event will contain obstacles including Electroshock Therapy, Pyramid Scheme, Arctic Enema, Funky Monkey and Hangin’ Tough. These tricky obstacles involve running through a field of live wires, a swim in a freezing skip, and greased monkey bars.

Don’t worry if you’re not brave enough to take part, the event has some great viewing points for spectators.  Cheer on the competitors as they battle through mud, water and electricity.  Runners will be setting off from 8am on the Saturday and from 9am on the Sunday.

For those who wish to reward their efforts on the Saturday run, there is a Apres Mud after party, presented by Jägermeister.  There will be shots, dancing and Tough Mudder themed cocktails to enjoy until 11pm.
