What is it?
The annual Ludlow Food Festival takes place from 12th to 14th September at Ludlow Castle and around the town.
The festival has a selection of fun and quirky events taking place including the Sausage Trail, where visitors can venture around the butchers’ shops trying different sausages and awarding them marks out of ten.
There is also a Waiters Race on Saturday at 3pm. Competitors have to race around some of the pubs in the town centre, whilst their professionalism is tested to the utmost. The waiters must try to satisfy some very odd customers from the Old Dic Theatre Company. Speed, agility and service will all be tested.
In addition to these quirky events there will be cider pressing demonstrations, a real ale trail, a chance to try your hand at circus skills and cooking like Cleopatra masterclasses. Visitors can also find out about Forgotten Foods, discover the art of coffee, sample chocolate and join the Banana Science Workshops.
