What is it?

Transmission, the annual residency programme for brand new circus, returns to Jacksons Lane in London for a second year.

Transmission offers circus artists and companies the unique opportunity to experiment and collaborate with other artists and art forms.  Companies have the freedom to explore new ideas which may develop into productions in the future.  One of last year’s residencies, Vagabond’s Hat Kinesonic, is touring the UK in 2015.  This year six new companies will work for a week each in the main theatre space.  On the final Friday of each residency at 4pm there will be a public sharing of work developed, with a chance to meet and discuss the work with the artists.  The tickets for this cost just £5 and offers audiences an amazing opportunity to see the new circus of tomorrow.

This year’s artists are Sideways Arts (performing on 1st August), Ziggy Slingsby (performing on 15th August), StumbleDance Circus (performing on 22nd August), Circumference & Inverted (performing on 5th September) and You Need Me (performing on 12th September).
