£: Admission costs £8.75 for adults and £7.25 for children. Activities and workshops vary day-to-day and some carry an extra charge in addition to the museum admission fee. Enginuity is one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums. An annual Passport Ticket allowing entry into all ten museums, with unlimited return visits, costs £27.50 for adults, £16.50 for children and £68 for a family; under 5s go free.
What is it?
Discover more about the fantastic inventions, science and technologies that have come from the East at the drop-in Made in China Workshops at Enginuity, near Ironbridge. The workshops will take place during the summer school holidays until Sunday 31st August, between 10.30am and 3.45pm.
The hands-on activities will include using craft materials such as tissue paper and brightly coloured card to make boats, kites and shadow puppets, as well as the chance to have a go at printing. These activities will vary from-to-day and carry a small extra charge in addition to the museum entrance fee.
There will also be a choice of family activities that are included in the admission charge, such as decorating paper bricks and adding them to the ‘Great Wall of Enginuity’, solving tangram puzzles and following a trail that takes in museum exhibits linked to the inventions of China. The presenter-led show in Gadgetdom will highlight the enormous contribution that China has made to the world of design and technology.
Enginuity is a family friendly science and technology centre with plenty of hands-on activities and interactive exhibits.
