What is it?
The annual Ironbridge Gorge Brass Band Festival will take place on 19th and 20th July 2014. The festival showcases some of the finest brass bands from Shropshire and the surrounding counties.
The Ironbridge Gorge Brass Band Festival will take place on The Green at the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron in Shropshire.
The event is one of the largest, non-competitive brass band festivals in the country. Around ten different brass bands will play on each day of the festival. Bands will include the Shrewsbury Brass Band, Cleobury Mortimer Concert Band, Wem Jubilee Band and the Cheshire Constabulary Band featuring their Corps of Drums.
On the Saturday evening there will be a Charity Gala Concert with the Jackfield Elcock Reisen Band and Jaguar Landrover Band. Tickets for this event cost £10 for adults and £5 for children. Proceeds from the gala will go to the Severn Hospice.
