What is it?
Midnight Circus, a brand new promenade performance of dark, delicious and death-defying contemporary circus, will be descending on Jacksons Lane for a month.
From the belly of a former warship to a huge South London hanger, AirCraft Circus have invited audiences into an opulent, dramatic and dangerous world of physical skill. Now AirCraft Circus are coming to Highgate’s Jacksons Lane for four weeks of risqué and impressive performances. Expect twisted contortionists, high-flying trapeze artists, incredible acrobatics and lots of fire.
This re-booted, promenade production will see the auditorium at Jacksons Lane transformed as audiences move around the space. After premiering in the MS Stubnitz in 2013, Midnight Circus introduces all manner of new acts from a flaming acrobalance sequence, to an intimate contortion duet in a Perspex bowl contraption.
The immersive performance is brought to life by a 10-strong cast of talented circus artists who make up Woolwich-based AirCraft Circus. Experts in aerial hoop, trapeze, rope and pole, silks, straps and spark-flying angle grinding; this spectacular show will leave audiences speechless, awe-inspired and desperate for more.
Jacksons Lane are also hosting late-night Saturday performances with themed cocktail and drinks deals, and after hours DJ sets.
