Ponchos at the ready for a Peruvian Party at Mr Fogg’s

Where: Mr Fogg’s, 15 Bruton Lane, London W1J 6JD

What is it?

On Friday 25th April, Mr Fogg’s household staff, and old comrades from across the equator, Pisco Portón and Señor Ceviche, cordially invite friends and family alike to attend what is sure to be the most positively pleasant Peruvian Party in the northern hemisphere.

Guests will be welcomed by a team of Latin American dancers that will be swaying along to a sound track of Latin American jazz and encouraging patrons to get into the southern swing and feel the Peruvian passion.  For those that need a little further encouragement before letting loose on the dance floor, Pisco Portón will be offering a refreshing and punchy array of Pisco-based drinks such as Cusco; made with Portón, pineapple syrup, pineapple juice, lime juice and fresh mint.

For those that are feeling a tad tiddly from Portón’s Piscos, Senor Ceviche and his team of helpful hombres will also be on hand to serve a selection of scrumptious street food style canapés, including dishes such as, Mala Chica; Salmon Tiradito with Nikkei Tiger’s Milk, Pomegranate and Purple Shiso, and of course, the Senor’s signature dish; Sea Bream, Salmon & King Prawn Ceviche with Aji Tiger’s Milk & Crispy Onions.

Keen to evoke Mr Fogg’s notorious sense of adventure and fully capture the South American spirit, all of Mr Fogg’s household staff will of course be swapping their military uniform for ponchos, and sporting a selection of sombreros fit for any South American Señor or Señorita.

Mr Fogg’s is a recreation of the Victorian home of Jules Verne’s most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg.  Modelled on the very Mayfair house in which Phileas would have lived after travelling Around the World in 80 Days, the bar is refined but at the same time truly off-the-wall, breathing liveliness and fun into the area.
