Medieval May Day at Belsay

When: 3rd – 5th May 2014, 11am – 5pm

Where: Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens, Belsay, Nr Morpeth, Northumberland NE20 0DX

£: Admission costs £8 for adults, £7.20 for concessions and £4.80 for children. English Heritage members go free. The ticket price includes entry to the event, Hall, Castle and Gardens.

What is it?

Celebrate a Medieval May Day at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens in Northumberland from 3rd to 5th May.

During the day you can see the medieval townsfolk and discover the May Day traditions and festivities.  Join in the procession and dancing, see plays and hear songs, and listen to stories of medieval superstitions.

At Belsay there are extensive grounds to explore including the Grade I registered heritage garden with an array of shrubs and flowers and the unique Quarry Garden, a fantasy of ravines, pinnacles and exotic plants.
