What is it?

Wander the rooms of English Heritage’s Belsay Hall at twilight. Discover this historic country house in a whole new light during this exclusive tour. Visitors can visit the servants’ quarters and experience how staff downstairs worked in poorly lit conditions.

Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens are the creation of the Middleton family, over more than seven centuries. Belsay Hall is an austerely Classical Greek Revival villa, now displayed without furnishings to reveal the fine craftsmanship of its construction.
