What is it?

Fourth Monkey‘s The Peculiar Tale of Pablo Picasso and the Mona Lisa is on at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre from 11th February.

Paris 1911.  A struggling Spanish artist called Pablo Picasso is arrested on suspicion of stealing the Mona Lisa from the Louvre. Overnight, he is propelled from anonymity to notoriety, but his incarceration comes with unexpected benefits.

Fresh from the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, this fast-moving farce is a hit with audiences and critics alike.  Loosely based on real events and peppered with characters such as Guillaume Apollinaire, Gertrude Stein and George Braques, it takes a light-hearted look at the louche life of a young artist about town and the unpredictable ways in which inspiration can strike.
