Mark Ovenden talks about Railway Maps of the World

Mark Ovenden - Railway Maps of the World - RSGS When: 22nd January 2014, 7.30pm – 9pm

Where: Boyd Orr Building, University of Glasgow, University Avenue, Glasgow G12 8QQ

£: Tickets are available on the door and cost £8 for adults.  This event is free for students, under 18s and RSGS members.

What is it?

Mark Ovenden, is a broadcaster and author who specialises in the subjects of graphic design, cartography and architecture in public transport.  He has published several books on rail maps and in this talk for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, Ovenden  discusses his favourite maps.  He will be telling stories of how he tracked down some of the more obscure of the world’s rail maps.
