Where: The Hunterian Museum, Royal College of Surgeons, 35-43 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London WC2A 3PE

£: Costs £4.  Free entry (plus guest) for RCS fellows and members.  Free entry to RCS affiliates, medical students and Hunterian Society members (phone 020 7869 6568 to reserve places).

What is it?

Listen to a lunchtime lecture by Dr Deborah Sage on Pathologists; the Secret Heroes of Transplantation at the Hunterian Museum in London.

The quest for organ donors is ongoing as donation remains the only hope for many critically ill patients.  The supply of organs is essential but so are the skills of pathologists who work behind the scenes to ensure that the donations are successful.  Dr Deborah Sage, specialist in histocompatibility, will explains the key role which pathologists play in successful organ transplants.

This event is hosted in association with the Royal College of Pathologists.
