What is it?
On 4th February join Anna Hutton-North, author of Ferguson’s Gang – The Maidens behind the Masks, for a free pop up talk at UCL Art Museum.
Find out about the women who hit the headlines in the 1930s by anonymously bringing sacks full of money to National Trust offices to save historic properties. To preserve their identity, which remained secret for almost a century, they dressed in masks and cloaks.
Anna Hutton-North’s book has now uncovered how the gang met and fought the builders and developers in order to save England’s heritage.
