The Charles Dickens Museum in London

When: 29th January and 26th February 2014 from 6.40pm

Where: Charles Dickens Museum, 48 Doughty Street, London WC1N 2LX

£: Tickets cost £15

What is it?

The Charles Dickens Museum in London will be hosting two special candlelit evenings on 29th January and 26th February.  These immersive events will enable visitors to wander around the museum surrounding themselves with the sounds and scents of the house.

The rooms of Dickens’ former home will be evocatively lit with an array of candles which will transport visitors back into the Victorian era.  The evenings will give visitors the opportunity to experience Dickens’ beautifully restored home as the author himself would have seen it.  The flickering lights will illuminate the beautifully furnished interiors, the author’s desk and the shadowy chambers of the Victorian basement.
