What is it?

Join stylist Jane Richardson for “If You Don’t Wear Lipstick, I Can’t Talk To You”, a talk about the history of lipstick to compliment the current Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! exhibition at Somerset House.

Isabella Blow was well-known for her love of striking lip colour and describing her intimate relationship with it, she said: ‘It makes me feel alive.’

More than just a bit of make-up, lipstick has throughout history been used to convey anything from a mood through to the social class of its wearer.  In this talk, Jane Richardson, the International Lead Stylist at NARS Cosmetics, will share her thoughts on the history, emotions and trends relating to lipstick.
