University of the Air is an arts project celebrating research at the Open University.
Artists from Northern Ireland, Scotland and England have unveiled new, innovative artworks inspired by and promoting the impact that The Open University’s (OU) research has had on society.
On 6th December it is the turn of artists from Wales to unveil their work for University of the Air. It is fifty years since Harold Wilson first introduced the concept of a ‘University of the Air’ and the artworks reflect this idea.
Trajectory by Steve Geliot, Tanja Raman and Jo Fong is a combined arts performance which tells the story of a life transformed by the University Of The Air.
It is an artistic collaboration using digital animation and live dance combined together, and is presented in The Tramshed, Cardiff; an industrial listed building with its own extraordinary atmosphere. Trajectory will explore the OU research theme of social science.
