What is it?
The Cancer Research 33rd Great Christmas Pudding Race will take place on Saturday 7th December in the West Piazza of Covent Garden. Entertainment starts at 11.15am and the first race will take place at 12.10pm.
The Great Christmas Pudding Race is a unique charity event held annually each December in the heart of London. Teams of six friends or colleagues take on the challenge each year in order to battle it out to win the acclaimed Christmas Pudding Trophy along with some fantastic prizes.
This year’s event promises to be an enjoyable day out for contestants and spectators alike, all in aid of Cancer Research UK. Imagine you are standing in Covent Garden’s famous cobbled piazza on a cold crisp December morning… Now add a huge obstacle course to that picture complete with a giant inflatable slide. Add in a bunch of excited contestants kitted out in some fantastic fancy dress outfits. Then picture the array of Santa Claus’, reindeer and superheroes attempting to negotiate the obstacle course whilst carefully balancing a Christmas pudding on a tray (not an easy task).
