Join the Whisky Women in Birmingham

By Caroline King - November 5, 2013Posted in : Food & Drink, TOP-STORY

Whisky Women - Birmingham When: 15th November 2013 from 7pm

Where: The Church, 22 Great Hampton Street, Birmingham B18 6AQ

£: Tickets cost £25

What is it?

Birmingham’s Whisky Women is a beginner’s guide to drinking whisky, just for the females of the whisky-drinking species.  Its aim is to encourage more women to get into this fine drink and help them feel confident in buying whisky to drink at home or socially.

Long has whisky been the preserve of men, but changes are afoot!  There are many more women working in the industry providing a voice for women whisky-drinkers around the world.  Brands are now waking up to what the spending power of women could mean for their products.  As well as this, in recent years whisky has become ever more popular, but with such choice it is difficult to know where to start.

This event aims to help people understand the global whisky business and more importantly, how to nose, taste and what to look for when choosing a whisky.  This will be a fun and informal evening at The Church, JQ, where there will be food to begin with, followed by the opportunity to taste five whiskies from different areas.
