Entertainment, inspiration and curiosity for all ages at the Dundee Science Festival

What is it?

Taking place from 2nd November, the Dundee Science Festival is a celebration of science, providing fun, entertainment, inspiration and curiosity for all ages.  The festival offers a mixture of workshops, lectures, shows, quizzes, comedy, demonstrations and exhibitions at venues across the city.

For adults there are a host of events including Neurocomic, a free event with neuroscientist Dr Hana Ros and illustrator Dr Matteo Farinella who will unravel the mysteries of the human brain in a unique ‘illustrated lecture’.

Dundee Science Festival There will also be lots of events taking place to keep families entertained including a Family Fun Day at Dundee Science Centre with interactive exhibits and hands on workshops, and a Build Your Own Brush Robot event at Wellgate Shopping Centre.

For the very young there is an Early Explorers session with some strange and unusual animals at Dundee Science Centre and for teenagers there is a chance to learn about the science behind animation with the Animating Science: Stop Motion Fun With Science Concepts workshop at Dundee Contemporary Arts.
