Liberty London Girl - Afternoon Tea Party - Clipper Teas

Liberty London Girl hosts an afternoon tea party on a barge

When: 6th November 2013

Where: On a Regent’s Canal barge, London

£: Tickets cost £25

What is it?

Clipper Teas have launched a series of special afternoon tea parties; hosted by celebrity florist Nikki Tibbles, English gardener Rachel de Thame, and style blogger Liberty London Girl (A.K.A Sasha Wilkins) in aid of national charity, Contact the Elderly.

On 6th November, style blogger Sasha Wilkins will host a tea party on her favourite Regent’s Canal barge.  Ticket-holders will be invited to devour luxurious treats and sample a range of teas, whilst taking a boat trip through London Zoo and Camden Lock, in this intimate setting chosen by Wilkins.

Sasha Wilkins is a fashion editor, broadcaster and journalist famed for her award-winning lifestyle blog libertylondongirl.com, which is now read in 138 countries.  Sasha has written for magazines including The Sunday Times, Elle and Red as well as appearing on many TV and radio shows ranging from Woman’s Hour to BBC Breakfast.

Sasha Wilkins said: “Elderly people are all too easily forgotten about in the UK today and isolation is a problem in every community. The work that Contact the Elderly and its volunteers do is incredibly admirable, and I’m hoping to raise a lot of money and awareness for the cause by throwing the afternoon tea party of the century for my guests!”

100% of the proceeds will go to Contact the Elderly, a worthwhile cause dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation among older people.  Clipper Teas, who are organising the series of parties, have been producing teas in Dorset since 1984.  Clipper works with growers as partners and have been the UK’s number one Fairtrade tea company since launching their first Fairtrade tea in 1994.
