What is it?
The Ludlow Food Festival takes place at Ludlow Castle with over 160 hand-picked local artisans selling their products and sharing their skills and enthusiasm.
There will be an array of food-related talks and demonstrations on two main stages. The Master Classes will return to the festival and include world-renowned cheese expert Juliet Harbutt and for the little ones there will be a special kids cookery school. For those who want to learn more about particular ingredients or methods of cooking the Taste Workshops, led by expert producers and chefs, will guide you through a tutored tasting. Previous talks have included ‘snout to tail’, sherry tasting and the art of fruit distillation.
This year as part of the Sense charity stand, visitors will be able to experience Flavour SenseNation, an exciting new interactive event that explores the ways we use each of our senses to inform our experience of food and flavour. The Festival is also working with Parkinson’s UK to give early visitors a really unique experience. On Thursday 12th September you can take part in a Secret Dinner Party, consisting of three restaurants and three courses which gives participants the mouth-watering chance to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.
The ever-popular sausage, ale and bread trails will also be taking place around Ludlow along with pudding tasting and the Sunday producers market.
