UK National Sandcastle Competition 2013 When: 11th August 2013

Where: Croyde beach, North Devon

£: Raising money for North Devon Hospice

What is it?

The annual UK National Sandcastle Competition celebrates its 18th year in 2013 and aims to be the biggest sandcastle competition yet.  The event will be raising money for the North Devon Hospice.

Teams taking part will be allocated a 7 metre square of sand to build their castle or sculpture.  Teams of no more than six people (aged over 12 years) can take part and will be given three hours to work their magic.  You can register your team on the day from 11.30am. There will also be a junior competition for 7 – 16 year olds.

There will be live music by a DJ from 12 noon and the judging of sandcastles will take place from 3.30pm.
