What is it?
Pack a picnic and enjoy a summer’s evening of Regency outdoor theatre watching Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility in the elegant setting of Gilbert White’s House & Garden at Selborne in East Hampshire.
Scenes from the popular novel, which tells the tale of Elinor and Marianne Dashwood’s quest for love, will be recreated by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company on Sunday 25th August.
Gilbert White’s House tells the story of three great explorers of the natural world in its unique galleries. These include the pioneering 18th century naturalist, Gilbert White himself; Captain Lawrence Oates of the final Scott Antarctic expedition of 1911-1912, and Victorian explorer of Central America and Africa, Frank Oates.
