What is it?

The annual Garlic Festival on the Isle of Wight takes place on 17th and 18th August with cookery demonstrations and plenty of garlic-themed produce.

The festival isn’t just about garlic though, there will be a whole host of events and entertainment including craft stalls, local produce, live music and a beer tent.  For the younger visitors there will be a funfair, face painting, a traditional Punch and Judy show and magic tricks.  There will also be a chance to have a go at circus skills, some theatre workshops and fossil talks.  Look out for the one-man band, jugglers, stilt walkers, TITAN the robot and some characters from Star Wars.

Other entertainment will include a cycle stunt team, falconry, classic cars and archery.
