There’s something fishy going on in Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire Fish Week 2013 When: 22nd – 30th June 2013

Where: Across Pembrokeshire, Wales (see events map for more details)

£: Ticket prices vary for events, some events are free

What is it?

If you love eating fish or shellfish, there’s a feast in store at Pembrokeshire Fish Week, which runs across the county with over 250 fishy events between 22nd and 30th June.

The foodie festival offers a fantastic range of eating out events from taster menus to gourmet seafood evenings and sharing platters to tapas or good old fish and chips.  You can mix your eating out experience with some of the counties talented musicians or test your knowledge in a friendly pub quiz over a fishy supper.

Contrary Life likes the sound of the seafaring events including the Jolly Sailor Jaunt, Jet Boat Wildlife Adventure Trips and the  Kayaking Tour.  For a full day of coastal fun you could try TYF’s Classic Coastal Explorer Day at St. Davids where you navigate the coast by kayak, explore caves and bays, catch some mackerel, enjoy a BBQ picnic lunch on a secluded cove, snorkel the clear waters, and try your hand at coasteering.

There will also be sushi workshops, sea shanties, angling for the disabled, a chance to meet the local fishermen, storytelling, quizzes, live music and dolphin watching.

More info: Visit www.pembrokeshirefishweek.co.uk to find out more about the festival and www.visitpembrokeshire.com for more information on the area.
