Build yourself a castle at Morecambe Sandcastle Festival

What is it?

Morecambe Sandcastle Festival is two days of seaside fun including a sandcastle competition, sand sculptures, workshops, mud-dipping with the RSPB and beach sports.

On the Saturday Cedric Robinson, Queen’s Guide to the Sands will be giving a free talk at 3.15pm (book in advance), or you can get dirty with the RSPB’s mud-dipping between 12pm and 2pm.  There will also be donkey rides, magic and funfair rides.

On the Sunday there will be entertainment from the Batala Samba band and a Vintage fair and tea room in the Winter Gardens.

If you are up for the challenge of the sandcastle competition, registration will take place from 9.45am till 10.45am on Sunday morning, with the competition itself taking place between 11am and 1.30pm.
