Patchwork Cushion Covers Course - Black Country Living Museum When: 15th May 2013, 10am – 4pm

Where: Museum Conference Rooms, Black Country Living Museum, Tipton Road, Dudley, West Midlands DY1 4SQ

£: 45

What is it?

The Black Country Living Museum in the West Midlands is running a Patchwork Cushion Covers Course this May.

This workshop gives people the chance to try out this fun technique using a speedy method on sewing machines.  It will use gorgeous vintage and upcycled fabrics (but please bring your own if you wish) and the morning will be spent combining colours and patterns to create a perfect design using strips, squares or log cabin technique.  In the afternoon the cushion cover will be completed, ready for attendees to take home.

The course will be lead by Ruth Singer, a textile artist, author and educator.  Many of her textile artworks are inspired by historical textiles, museum objects, personal heritage, memory and stories.

The cost of the course includes a certificate of completion, free parking, use of materials and tools necessary to the course, refreshment vouchers and lunch voucher.
