What is it?

See ten plays by new playwrights for just £5.

First seen at the University of Birmingham’s Cultural Festival 2013, 10×10 comprises of ten, ten-minute plays by ten new writers; all performed by a professional company assembled especially for the event.

The University of Birmingham’s MRes Playwriting course, founded by David Edgar and boasting alumni such as Sarah Kane, pulls together some of the best new playwrights from the UK and abroad.  Together they study the theory and craft of writing plays.  Now, in a new initiative to bring their writing out into the professional arena, this year’s crop bring ten exciting new plays to The Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham.
