What is it?
The team behind boutique festival Winterwell are launching an innovative series of events starting in March 2013. Wilfred Bagshaw’s Time Emporium will be an immersive, theatrical, gaming adventure which will culminate in a big party in a sprawling converted Victorian warehouse.
Inspired by the emerging trend for immersive theatre experiences, the Time Emporium is a unique opportunity to not only immerse yourself in a fantastic world (travelling back in time to key events in human history) but also to affect the outcome of the story.
The Emporium of Time will transport revellers to worlds they have only previously been able to read about in history books and novels. Guests will enter through the old shabby shop front of Victorian gentleman Wilfred Bagshaw’s Time Emporium. From there they will discover his quest to bring back an ancient artefact before stepping through the time portal.
From there they will embark on a thrilling pervasive adventure set on Market Day, 16th February 1358, time travellers will encounter a rampant Black Death and a host of other, unforeseen threats, opportunities and encounters from the dark ages (and possibly the vagaries of time-travel too).
Survivors can then enjoy a party to rival all others with music from internationally acclaimed DJs spinning the decks until dawn.
So buckle up for the trip of a lifetime to Wilfred Bagshaw’s Time Emporium.
