It’s time for tough guys in tweed as The Mighty Deerstalker returns

By Caroline King - February 25, 2013Posted in : Alternative Sport

The Mighty Deerstalker, Traquair House When: 16th March 2013

Where: Traquair House, Innerleithen, Peeblesshire, Scotland

£: Race entry prices vary

What is it?

The crazy challenge that is The Mighty Deerstalker is back again for 2013.

A quite outrageous adventure running event with races through rivers, up mountains and into the night!  Adorned in fancy dress of tweed and tartan, runners tackle some crazy obstacles as they race around the pretty countryside that surrounds Traquair House, Scotland’s oldest inhabited house.

There is a 5k and a 10k race followed by a party afterwards with music for the tireless tweeds.  A head-torch is a must for the 10k competitors although moustache and pipe are optional.

More info: For the full details including location and timetable of events visit notoriousnightruns.com and www.traquair.co.uk.
