When: 19th January 2013, 7pm – 9pm

Where: Buckland Abbey, Garden and Estate, Devon

£: Free (booking not needed, phone 01822 853607)

What is it?

Take part in a traditional wassail at Buckland Abbey.

Join in, make some noise, and wake the apple trees from their winter slumber!  Enjoy pork and apple hotdogs, cider (both for sale on the evening) and possibly some morris dancing too in this traditional ceremony, held in the orchard around a bonfire.  Wrap up warm, put your boots on and bring something noisy like a saucepan and wooden spoon or a whistle.  You’ll need a torch too.
