When: 3rd November 2012, family performance at 5:30pm, adult only performances at 7:30pm & 9:30pm

Where: Whitby Abbey, North Yorkshire

£: Adults 12, concessions 10, and children 8. English Heritage members: Adults 10, concessions 8 and children 6.

What is it?

Bram Stoker’s classic Victorian gothic tale is brought to life with a cast of 3 actors.  The tale begins with Jonathan Harker, a newly qualified English solicitor, journeying from England to Count Dracula’s crumbling, remote castle.  From here the story reveals, a shipwreck, a large black dog and vampires.  The tale is told as a promenade performance within the ruins of Whitby Abbey, itself the author’s inspiration for the setting of this tale.  The event coincides with Bram Stoker’s centenary this year.  The 5.30pm performance is suitable for families and children aged 8 and above.
