Lanterns in the market at Greenwich

When: 28th November 2012 from 4pm

Where: Greenwich town centre

What is it?

Greenwich Market will be switching on its Christmas lights on 28th November.  The celebrations will begin with the children’s lantern parade, the procession starts at 4pm at Discover Greenwich in the Old Royal Naval College.  It will then wind its way to Greenwich Market for the big countdown at 4.30pm.  The countdown will be led by Sarah Jane Honeywell from CBeeBees and the characters from this year’s panto ‘Robin Hood’.

Everyone is welcome to join in singing Christmas carols, meet Father Christmas in his Greenwich Grotto and perhaps do a bit of late shopping.
