What is it?
The Potato Shindig is a farming-based activity, so adults and children alike will need to get active, get stuck in and get their hands dirty! The event gives children the opportunity to harvest their own bag of spuds to take home for dinner.
Farmer at Willows Anna Wolfe said: “We loved hearing about what visitors cooked with their free bag of spuds and hope that families decide to take part again this year. We’ve even developed a ‘Tristan the Tractor’ baked potato recipe so children can continue making that all-important link between field and fork at home.”
After the digging is done, visitors can also enjoy a full day’s programme of all-weather play at Willows Farm Village, including farmyard animals, fun fair rides, Woolly Jumpers indoor play barn, the JCB Young Drivers Zone and Captain Chicken’s Egg Dodge.
