What is it?
This year sees the 400th anniversary of the Pendle Witch trials. To mark this event Pendleside Hospice are inviting people to join them on a circular sponsored walk from that takes in the summit of Pendle Hill. You are encouraged to turn up in fancy dress as they are attempting a Guinness World Record for the biggest ever gathering of people dressed as witches. So all the more reason to take part!
To be counted in the World Record attempt you need to be wearing plain black, a wide-brimmed pointy hat (all black, no logos or markings), an ankle-length plain black gown/cloak (again all black, no branding, logos or markings of any kind) and be carrying a broomstick (anything commercially available, colour not an issue).
